coronavirus

The coronavirus has infected over 3.3 million people worldwide and the United States is the only country with more than 1.4 million cases of coronavirus. It has been six months since the virus had emerged from the mainland of china city Wuhan in December 2019. About 125 countries globally have been hit by the virus besides the deaths and recoveries in huge numbers.

Unfortunately, there has been no treatment for the virus until now as researchers and scientists are working day and night to find the cure to virus across the entire world. It is supposed that a few countries have succeeded in discovering any vaccine for the virus although vaccines have not been approved for worldwide usage as human trials are going for validation of vaccines.

Origin of Coronavirus

The coronavirus origin has become a mystery for the entire world which should be resolved to know more about containers of the virus to stop its spread.

There was a hot rant going on twitter and social media to blame China as the main container of coronavirus. One thing is not confirmed that what would be the probable origin of this deadly virus? People are speculating their own opinions about the origin of coronavirus as most people used to say it was transferred from the seafood market in Wuhan because the virus is said to have previous links with animals. Moreover, there were suppositions of the spreading of the coronavirus from eating bats. But it has not been proved that viruses spread from bats yet. Scientists and researchers in all countries are probing the exact origin of virus and factors which caused its spread.

In a quest to locate the virus origins, scientists and researchers have come to one point that the coronavirus has tangible connections with the old SARS coronavirus family. The writers at nursing assignment writing servicehad gathered some information about covid-19 and its relation with SARS-CoV in this article.

Brief Introduction ofCorona Viruses

The new novel coronavirus is said to be a new strain of older SARS coronavirus family that appeared in 2003. SARS is designated as a severe acute respiratory syndrome that is related to causing respiratory disorders in humans. That’s the reason new novel coronavirus is called as SARS Coronavirus 2 (SARS-COVID-2) by all researchers and scientists. Most people are not aware of this strange name of coronavirus they get perplexed when listening to the older virus name with the new coronavirus

The coronaviruses are a family of viruses with two most significant strains caused infections in humans at wider levels; one is older SARS-COV-1 and the other is recently known strain novel Covid-19.

  • Severe acute respiratory syndrome- Coronaviruses

SARS-CoV is a specie of coronaviruses that is said to infect bats, humans and mammals. There are two strains of this coronavirus.

SARS-CoV-1: it is the strain of coronaviruses that was known in 2002-2004 to spread the infection of the severe acute respiratory syndrome.

SARS-CoV-2: it is the novel strain of coronaviruses (COVID-19)thatstarted causing the pandemic in 2019with probable origins in China city Wuhan.

Several other strains of SARS-Cov are said to cause most human infections. Bats are said to be the main carriers of many coronaviruses and scientists have identified palm civets as the possible ancestors of SARS-CoV.

What is the basic difference between other SARS-coronaviruses and Covid-19

According to researchers, Covid-19 has a natural occurrence than the other coronaviruses and different from SARS related coronavirus due to some distinguishing characteristics especially genomic sequences are found quite different from other coronaviruses. Researchers have claimed that the effects and sufferings from new Covid-19 are more hazardous than other coronaviruses as it only infects humans.

People usually apprehend Covid19 a SARS disease that is not true. It’s the only relation of viruses with SARS specie and SARS with coronaviruses is only to show the taxonomic relationships between them. It never means that corona viruses-19 would cause SARS disease in humans.

People have questions about calling COVID-19 as SARS-CoV-2 as it might destroy the economic and mental stabilities of people around the world. However, researchers have said that since the name has not been approved by the world health organization so it would not cause any social or economic disturbance in any field. Furthermore, the exact origins and carriers of Covid-19 have not come to lame light yet so it would not be named permanent as SARS-Cov-2. Hence it’s only too aware the public about the possible origins of the virus and previous links with corona related diseases so that people become more preventive for upcoming emergencies and possible threadof viruses.

How it could be started

The researchers and virus experts have said that it is the possibility that the virus has transformed from the earlier species that is most common in new appearing human diseases by the virus. Professor Andrew Cunnigham of Zoological Society of London has addressed that we had been assuming the occurrences of chances of some strange things to appear for a long time.

“These infections are appearing more often in these years as a consequence of people’sviolation into naturalhabitation and augmented contact and eating of wild animals by humans”.

The new coronavirus 2019 is now included in the category of few infectious viruses like SARS, MERS, EBOLA  ad RABIES that have a strong relationship with bats. It has been quite a time when it was revealed that bats are a probable carrier of SARS coronaviruses that infect humans. That’s why the mystery about bat eating and coronavirus was going around for a long time. The researcher has evidence that viruses stay in the bodies of bats for a long time until they find a new carrier as mostly in the shape of humans for their further stay. In human bodies, these viruses infect our cells of respiratory cells and they replicate in unlimited numbers.

Some scientists believe that the palm civets were the ancestors of coronavirus that was transferred to animals like bats especially from these palm civets then these viruses would have transferred to humans like most other viruses are transformed to humans and cause deadly diseases in humans.
